Colm is a chartered structural engineer (FIEI) with a PhD in dredge material management. He manages the dredging requirements for clients within the UK and Ireland and further afield. This includes permitting, contracting and procurement. Feasibility reports for proposed projects including technical, logistical, and economic analyses are regularly undertaken, with dredging strategy documents produced frequently. Site/contract supervision has been undertaken internationally. He also undertakes expert witness services and assists ports with their long-term master planning. Continuous professional development has included certification in bathymetric survey processing, alternative dispute resolution, CDM, PSDP, JNCC MMO, and hydraulic slurry transport. Colm is also currently the partnership’s representative on the Board of the Central Dredging Association (CEDA) UK Committee and has also been a contributing member for the updated British Standard for Dredging & Land Reclamation as well as working groups for PIANC (beneficial use of dredging material) and CIRIA (dredging cost standards).
